The opposition United National Movement (UNM) party confirmed that consultations with the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party are in full swing.
Irakli Pavlenishvili, a member of the party, said the consultations will decide the format of cooperation between the two parties.
“We focus on a strategic unity and call on all pro-western, national forces to cooperate over fundamental directions. This does not have to do with unified election lists but the unity of the opposition as it happened during the March rallies when the message was common,” he said.
Irakli Pavlenishvili did not rule out election unity but said all rumors, including over the selection of the prime minister’s candidate, were “cut off the context.”
