UNM Chair views confrontation on opposition flank as betraying public order

“Everyone has a choice, but it is crucial to meet the public order. People wish for the unity of the opposition. The United National Movement (UNM) supports a bigger unification since the confrontation on the opposition flank is betraying the public order,” said Tina Bokuchava, UNM Chair.

The UNM Chair remarked on the statement of the For Georgia party representatives, saying they support forming unity only with the Lelo party.

“At every meeting, be it a protest rally or any other communication with the Georgian citizens, we see that Georgian people wish for the unity of the opposition. We must respond to the public order. The UNM supports a bigger unification since fragmentation, confrontation, and division are equal to betrayal of the public order and serve as the opportunity for Ivanishvili’s government to manipulate the elections again. We should not admit that and stand united,” Bokuchava said.
