United National Movement (UNM) Chairperson Tina Bokuchava addressed supporters at Kutaisi’s historic Bagrati Cathedral two days before the elections, saying “When Georgians stand united, victory is assured.”
The opposition leader reaffirmed UNM’s allegiance to former President Mikheil Saakashvili, describing him as a figure “who dedicated his life to Georgia”.
In her speech, Bokuchava said during the pre-election meetings, the UNM did not travel “with aquarium and did not stage expensive mega shows,” but “We held mass gatherings in the central districts of Georgian cities and face-to-face with people.”
UNM leader urged people not to be “afraid of blackmail and threats.”
“Don’t believe for a second that anyone sees the choices you make. We win with unity. The strength is in unity, strength is in Europe! May God protect Georgia”, Bokuchava added.
