UNM Bokushava urges for gov't change through elections to address challenges
Tina Bokuchava, the chair of the parliamentary faction United National Movement, emphasized that Garibashvili’s [GD Chair] aggressive tone in addressing citizens, despite being removed from office twice for corruption, indicates the disconnection of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of the ruling party, from societal issues.
Bokuchava stressed the need for a change in government in the October elections to address challenges such as poverty, corruption, unemployment, and lack of prospects.
“The fact that Garibashvili, who has faced removal from office twice due to corruption, is still addressing the citizens of Georgia with such an aggressive tone, highlights the disconnection of Ivanishvili from societal issues and the challenges faced by the Georgian people. This underscores the urgency for a change in government during the October elections. Our goal is to expedite Georgia’s accession to the European Union, tackling issues like poverty, corruption, unemployment, and a lack of prospects. The aim is to create high-paying, decent jobs for our citizens. This upcoming election represents a genuine opportunity for our country. Gharibashvili’s recent briefing only reaffirms that Ivanishvili’s party lacks the vision to achieve these crucial objectives,” Bokuchava stated.
