Unity-National Movement's Vashadze says GD has no chance left; victory awaits us on October 26
“Yesterday clearly showed us that Georgia is getting rid of Bidzina Ivanishvili, Georgia is winning, and we will move very quickly towards the European Union,” stated Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of the Unity – National Movement party, during a briefing.
He added that yesterday, referring to a gathering named Georgia Votes for EU, once again demonstrated that Georgia will always stand among civilized nations.
“Yesterday exceeded all expectations. There was an incredible number of people with amazing energy. I want to thank everyone who came to the rally. Yesterday clearly showed us that Georgia is parting ways with Bidzina Ivanishvili, that Georgia is winning, and we will move very quickly towards the European Union.
Yesterday, once again clearly showed all of Georgia and the entire civilized world where the Georgian people stand, that Georgia will always be among civilized countries. The dignity and independence of Georgia will never be questioned.
I especially want to thank the youth, as there were particularly many young people at yesterday’s rally. I also want to thank the older generation who came.
On October 26, we will all win together. Yesterday clearly showed that Ivanishvili and the Georgian Dream have not even the slightest chance left. This large turnout and celebration, which was a triumph of Georgian energy and Georgian self-awareness, must be translated into a great victory on October 26. The wave of Georgian identity and national spirit will sweep away Ivanishvili and the Georgian Dream. They won’t be able to get more than 20% in these elections, and yesterday’s events have made me even more confident of this. We will win, we are moving rapidly towards Europe, and we are saying no to Ivanishvili and his regime. These are the last days, and we need to be even more encouraged, we need to join hands even more and once again call on each other to go to the polls in as large numbers as possible and finally seal the great victory on October 26,” Vashadze declared.
