Unity - National Movement's Vashadze: Join us on Chavchavadze Avenue until 8 PM—being late for work is worth it for positive energy!

“For those heading to work now, being an hour or two late probably will not make much difference. Come join us—you will find positive energy, camaraderie, fighting spirit, and a determination to move forward,” declared Giorgi Vashadze, the Unity – National Movement leader, while speaking near Tbilisi State University, where protesters camped overnight.

He noted that the protesters would remain at this location until 8:00 PM on Monday.

“We’ve been here all night with incredible vigour and positivity. Many doubted people would stay, but we did. I want to thank everyone still here; you’ve shown remarkable heroism. Your endurance as we transition to a new form of protest is inspiring. Special thanks to the young men and women in the tents who have been serving coffee, tea, and meals to those who arrived this morning.

We’re inviting everyone watching us on television right now—please come down. This protest will continue for 24 hours; we’ll be here until 8:00 PM tonight. We are here peacefully and calmly, fueled by positive energy, because we believe we will win—the truth is on our side.

We want a strong, democratic Georgia that is a member of the European Union and, most importantly, a Georgia free from Ivanishvili and his misrule. To be honest, I don’t even feel tired; the conversations we had throughout the night were so enjoyable that our energy remained high.

Some have even suggested we stay for a second night, but let’s stick to today’s plan—we’re here until 8:00 PM. For those heading to work now, being an hour or two late will not matter much. Join us—you’ll find positivity, camaraderie, and a shared determination to move forward. We’re waiting for all of you watching us on TV,” stated Vashadze.
