Unity-National Movement's Manjgaladze promises EU passports and increased pensions for Guria residents
“Poverty, unemployment, a migrated population, neglected villages and schools, and the walnuts mafia—this is the result of Ivanishvili’s 12-year rule,” Paata Manjgaladze, a leader of the Unity-National Movement alliance, declared at a briefing in Ozurgeti, located in Georgia’s western Guria region.
Manjgaladze asserted that ending the Georgian Dream’s governance would usher in development and positive changes for the region.
“We, at the Unity-National Movement, have a comprehensive plan to eradicate poverty, increase pensions to GEL 1,000, create jobs, eliminate unjust debts from high-interest pension loans, and dismantle the walnuts mafia. These are the crucial issues we will tackle in the Guria region following our electoral victory.
Every resident of Guria will have access to a European passport and pension, all Georgians will receive European wages, and we will progress towards EU membership. This election is about determining the kind of future we desire: living in poverty or a prosperous European nation,” he emphasized.
