Unity-National Movement coalition: On October 27, Georgia to wake up free, Saakashvili released
Political Secretary of the Unity-National Movement coalition, Giorgi Baramidze, remarked on the statement of the Georgian Dream Political Council on a possible trial of the UNM in the August 2008 Russia-Georgia war case at the briefing.
According to Giorgi Baramidze, the ruling party members continue to blame Georgia to “please” Putin, but Georgian society will respond to them on October 26.
“This is the aim for which Putin brought this gang into power in Georgia and why Mikheil Saakashvili is in jail, kept as a prisoner of Bidzina Ivanishvili and Putin. Everyone knows that Ivanishvili fears Saakashvili because he is the main problem – the main political counterweight of this gang of traitors. That is why Ivanishvili is afraid of losing power. Putin also fears losing the fifth column, which he has maintained with dirty money, with the Kremlin-ruled slander and disinformation,” Baramidze said.
Giorgi Baramidze believes that the GD Political Board’s statement is in Russia’s interest and this is a “declared treason.”
“I am convinced that Georgian society acknowledges that and will adequately respond to this gang of traitors on October 26. Georgia will wake up free on October 27, and Mikheil Saakashvili will be released. Our society will be free from the Kremlin chains, and we will all return to the path of Georgia’s integration into NATO and the European Union, which will lead to a peaceful life where we wish the return of IDPs, better living conditions, high pensions and wages, low prices and jobs. This is what this gang of traitors obstructs, and the Georgian society will end on October 26,” said Giorgi Baramide.
On August 14, the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party blamed ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili for starting the war with Russia in August 2008, saying the public trial of the August war was vital for people to know who committed heinous treasonous crimes.
