United Airports of Georgia DG: Georgia maintains its leading position in European region

Irakli Karkashadze, Director General of United Airports of Georgia, attended a NUCTECH-organised three-day event ‘Aviation Security in the Modern Era,’ saying “Georgia maintains its leading position in the European region, which benefits the country’s reputation, aviation, and tourism sectors.”

In his remark, Karkashadze discussed the audit results of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

“Georgia successfully passed the aviation security audit and improved the indicators of the supervision of aviation security by 89.75%, which is the result of our correct policy,” he asserted.

The event drew aviation and airport authorities of Central Asia and Transcaucasia.
