Ukrainian charge d'affaires urges for Saakashvili's access to necessary medical care

Oleksandr Shulga, the charge d’affaires of Ukraine, has emphasized the importance of providing appropriate medical treatment to Mikheil Saakashvili, the former president of Georgia who is currently in detention.

Shulga mentioned that they have made a request for the Ukrainian Ombudsman to visit Saakashvili but have not yet received a response from any official agency.

“We have submitted a request for the Ukrainian Ombudsman to visit Mikheil Saakashvili. As of now, we have not received a response from any official agency. We urge for a humanitarian intervention in this matter. Saakashvili should be granted access to receive the necessary medical assistance at a qualified clinic,” stated Oleksandr Shulga.
