U.S. Ambassador: Our assistance is positive, not a negative thing

U.S. Ambassador to Georgia, Robin Dunnigan, on Tuesday, said “there’s been a lot of disinformation over the last several months, and including around the foreign influence law, about what foreign assistance does.”

Ambassador Dunnigan went on to say that “the foreign assistance goes to Georgians to help Georgians.”

“These are helping Georgians with disabilities, helping young people learning English, helping celebrate and keep Georgian culture alive.

This is what our assistance is doing. So, it’s positive. It’s working together with Georgia. And it is really a positive thing, not a negative thing,” Robin Dunnigan noted.
