Two companies advanced to second stage of Anaklia Deep-Sea Port private partner selection
According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, two companies have advanced to the second stage of selecting a private partner for the Anaklia Deep-Sea Port project.
At a regular meeting on September 20 at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the interdepartmental government commission, created to select a private partner for the Anaklia port project, reviewed in detail the documentation of the companies participating in the project and decided to advance two of the applicants.
Members of the commission, including the Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development, Finance, Regional Development and Infrastructure, Environmental Protection and Agriculture, signed the relevant protocols during the meeting.
“Based on the results of the qualification assessment of candidates, qualified candidates will be given a period of several months to submit a technical, commercial and financial proposal. After that, the commission will determine the winner, and the Ministry of Economy will begin negotiations on a concession and a partnership agreement,” the state agency reported.
