Transavia France to launch operations in Georgia

Transavia France, a European airline, is set to commence operations at Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport in April 2025.

Starting April 9, the airline will operate regular flights between Paris and Tbilisi three times a week, the United Airports of Georgia reported.

“We are pleased to announce that our collaboration with the Air France-KLM Group has successfully concluded, allowing another French-Dutch multinational airline to enter the Georgian market. We continually strive to diversify our aviation sector, providing our passengers with the opportunity to fly from various airports,” stated Irakli Karkashadze, Director of the United Airports of Georgia.

According to Karkashadze, the capitals of Georgia and France will be connected via two airports, with additional flights to Paris Beauvais Airport being offered from Kutaisi International Airport.

Founded in 2006, Transavia Airlines is a Dutch low-cost airline and a wholly-owned subsidiary of KLM, thus making it part of the Air France–KLM Group. The airline operates from Paris Orly Airport.
