Tinatin Berdzenishvili met with representatives of Council of Europe on gender equality issues
Today, the representatives of the Georgian First Channel and the Council of Europe have held a working meeting on gender equality issues.
At the meeting, Tinatin Berdzenishvili, First Deputy Director-General of Georgian First Channel, the representatives of Tbilisi Office of CoE and Sara Haapalainen, Policy Adviser of Gender Equality Division of the Council of Europe discussed the challenges and needs in the field.
The visit of Sara Haapalainen to Georgia aims to study the needs with regard to fight against and prevent domestic violence.
As a reminder, the First Deputy Director-General of Georgian First Channel Tinatin Berdzenishvili heads the EBU Gender Balance Initiative.
