The UK records 739 more COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours

739 more patients died from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the UK in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 27 510.

Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care said that 6 201 new cases of the virus confirmed in the UK in the last 24 hours. The total number of COVID-19 infected people stands at 177 454.

Currently, more than 15 000 patients are hospitalized. The country does 100 000 COVID-19 testings daily.
