The number of individuals recovered from COVID-19 in Italy triples in the last 24 hours

The number of individuals recovered from the coronavirus in Italy has tripled in the last 24 hours, Italian Coronavirus Emergency Commissioner Angelo Borelli said.

Borelli noted that 527 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of recovered individuals to 1966.

However, the death toll is alarming as 175 died from the COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 1441.

As for new cases fo the novel virus, 3500 individuals tested positive. Currently, a total of 21,000 patients in Italy are infected with coronavirus.
