Teona Akubardia: We will not recognise Parliament’s legitimacy unless it receives Georgians, western partners’ legitimacy

“The Parliament will have 89 Georgian Dream deputies elected in illegitimate elections. We will not legitimize the rigged elections,” said Teona Akubardia, a member of “Gakharia for Georgia” opposition party.

Akubardia noted that Gakharia for Georgia would join today’s rally on Rustaveli avenue.

“We will not be in the parliament and we will not recognize the legitimacy of this parliament.

We will not recognise the legitimacy of this parliament unless it receives the legitimacy of the Georgian people and our Western partners.

We demand re-elections, not the way Ivanishvili conducted them.

As for today’s rally, as far as I know, civil group ‘Daitove’ organized it.

We are not involved in the organization of any rally, although we participate in a peaceful protest,” Akubardia added.
