Ten Technical Inspection Centers issued fake certificates

Ten Technical Inspection Centers were issuing fake certificates – Investigation Service of Finance Ministry reported.

Officers of Investigation Service launched monitoring in different regions of Georgia on the basis of operative information.

Facts on the issuance of fake positive technical inspection certificates for vehicles were revealed in Tbilisi, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Imereti, and Kakheti and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions.

Corresponding expertise is being conducted, and an investigation is ongoing under Articles 362 and 221 of Criminal Code of Georgia. The charge envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years.
