Inmates will be able to make phone calls with use of biometric data – Corresponding changes will be made into Prisoners Code. The amendments will be initiated during the bureau sitting of the parliament today. MP Paata Mkheidze initiated the changes.

Based on the explanation provided in the draft project, the practice analysis proved that plastic cards failed to ensure its use by only one prisoner and prevention of its handing over to another inmate.
