Tbilisi TV Tower lights up in Guatemalan flag colors

In connection with the Independence Day of the Republic of Guatemala, Tbilisi TV Tower was lit up in the colors of the Guatemalan flag as Guatemala gained its independence from Spain in 1821 and celebrates its national holiday on September 15.

September 15 is declared a national holiday and is celebrated with various festive events. In addition, the honorary consulate of the Republic of Guatemala was recently opened in Tbilisi, and Giorgi Choladze was appointed as the honorary consul.

At the opening ceremony of the consulate, which was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Guatemala to Georgia His Excellency Jairo David Estrada Barrios and the representatives of the Georgian Government and the diplomatic corps, it was noted that the appointment of the honorary consul will contribute to the deepening of bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields.
