Tbilisi to host European Mobility Week on 16-22 September

Georgian capital Tbilisi will host the European Mobility Week, the European Commission’s flagship awareness-raising campaign on sustainable urban mobility, on September 16-22.

According to the Tbilisi City Hall, this year’s theme is all about ‘Shared public space’, inviting people to collectively decide how to share public space, and make sure everyone can move around safely and comfortably in a pleasant environment, especially pedestrians and cyclists.

The Tbilisi Transport and Urban Development Agency will collaborate with partner organisations and governmental authorities on different events from September 16 to 22.

On September 21, Mitskevichi Street will hold a bus exhibition and simulated cycling race. Race participants will get symbolic bicycle licenses.

On September 21, at 16:00, citizens can visit the “Tbilisi Transport Company” bus depot.
