Tbilisi, Rustavi, Batumi and Kutaisi to be closed from April 15

Tbilisi, Rustavi, Batumi and Kutaisi will be closed from 21:00 as of April 15 during 10 days for all kind of traffic movement. Entry and exit will be prohibited in these 4 large cities – Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said.

PM explained that the government had made the decision to reduce mobility in large cities due to the highest number of infected people with novel coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours.

“We cannot say exactly when the country reaches the peak of the virus spread. We cannot be precise in the prognosis,” Gakharia said.

The number of infected people by COVID-19 has increased by 30 in one day. About 500 people are under observation.
