Tbilisi Mayor: Georgians are true owners of their country and source of governance

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze responded to a recent statement made by President Salome Zourabichvili following her meeting with EU Ambassador Pawel Herczyński.

Kaladze criticized the opposition, claiming they lack internal support and rely on external statements to bolster their positions.

“These individuals are politically bankrupt, devoid of resources for cooperation or support. They operate solely within their own circles, driven by compromises, intimidation, and insults. They mislead themselves into believing that the world revolves around them, while the reality in the country is entirely different. Their internal resources are equal to zero, so they now align with individuals they previously criticized.

The public will soon show them their place. Their last hope is to strengthen their standing externally with statements like those we’ve recently heard,” Kaladze remarked.

Regarding Paweł Herczyński’s statement, Kaladze emphasized that only the Georgian people will determine the future leadership of the country.

“Everyone must understand that the Georgian people are the true owners of this country and the source of governance. No external force can dictate who should be in power. The people will decide whom they trust to lead for the next four years,” Kaladze concluded.
