Tbilisi City Hall restricts traffic for Family Purity Day procession 

Tbilisi City Hall will restrict traffic as the Family Purity Day procession will take off in Georgia’s capital at noon on May 17.

According to the Georgian Orthodox Church (GOC), the parishioners and clergy procession will start at noon from Kashueti Church in Tbilisi.

Patriarchal Locum Tenens, Metropolitan Shio Mujiri will conduct a church service, following which the procession will walk toward the Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral.

Traffic movement will be restricted at Rustaveli Avenue, Chanturia Street, Freedom Square, Baratashvili Bridge and Avlabari Square.

Drivers can use adjacent streets and the Mtkvari Right Riverbank. The City Hall will also divert public transport routes temporarily.
