Tbilisi 2023 budget addresses present challenges, City Assembly reports

Tbilisi 2023 budget will address the city’s immediate pressing issues, Irakli Kheladze, chair of the Finance-Budgetary Commission in the City Assembly (Sakrebulo), stated.

Kheladze said during the Sakrebulo meeting that the volume of the next year’s main financial document is GEL 1.44 billion, which is GEL 133 million more than the budget approved on January 1, 2022.

According to Kheladze, the top priorities will be transportation infrastructure improvements, social and healthcare initiatives, and the procurement of two hundred 18-meter-long municipal buses.

The draft budget has been presented to Tbilisi City Hall for approval.
