Tamar Chugoshvili, First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia says that many of the recommendations offered by the NGOs are already responded.
As she noted before committee meetings some consultations with various organizations will be held once again.
“We have worked for increasing parliamentary control on the government during months. Draft on new regulations on supervisory function of the Parliament has already been initiated. We had consultations with almost all organizations, including those with interest in parliamentary activities. I believe that majority of the recommendations offered by NGOs have been already responded. As for the security sector’s supervision, this is a specific area because it is related to secret information and state security. Ahead committee meetings some consultations with various organizations and foreign experts will be held over this issue once again”, – Tamar Chugoshvili said.
