Summer Army Camp closes

The summer Army Camp opened for youngsters at the Giorgi Antsukhelidze Sergeants Academy in Kojori has closed.

Deputy Defense and Education Ministers Grigol Giorgadze and Tamar Makharashvili greeted the youngsters.

They accentuated the significance of promoting the patriotic spirit and knowledge of historic heroes among the young generation.

The youngsters received certificates and symbolic gifts. An exhibition displayed children’s works on the Georgian army’s theme, values and emotions they received at the camp.

Army Camp opened on June 25. Within eight rotations, it hosted approximately 800 children from Tbilisi and different regions of Georgia.

The Defense Ministry implemented it jointly with the Education Ministry for the first time this year.
