Strong Georgia leader says revolution, riots acceptable when votes stolen

“When citizens are deprived of their main right to vote and the future is stolen, revolutions, riots and everything are acceptable,” said Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of the Strong Georgia coalition.

Mamuka Khazaradze remarked on the statement posted by the German Embassy in Georgia on its Facebook page.

“Do you see anything revolutionary? However, when citizens are deprived of their main right to vote and their future is stolen, revolutions, riots and everything are acceptable. Ask the Embassy not me,” he said.

“A peaceful revolution is possible. The fall of the Berlin Wall is an example of this,” reads the statement published on the Facebook page of the German Embassy in Georgia, in connection with the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
