Strong Georgia leader says he's ready for consultations with For Georgia's Gakharia and President
“At any time, I am ready to personally meet with Giorgi Gakharia, the leader of the For Georgia party, and subsequently the President for discussions,” Mamuka Khazaradze, the leader of the Strong Georgia coalition, wrote on Facebook.
Mamuka Khazaradze appreciated President Salome Zourabichvili’s efforts to unify Georgian political parties.
“I, along with the Strong Georgia coalition, am committed to doing everything possible to end the rule of the Georgian Dream, which serves Russia, and to replace it with a government that prioritizes the interests of Georgia and guides us toward a European future. Consequently, I value the President’s initiatives aimed at fostering unity for this important goal.
Yesterday, I announced my willingness to set aside past grievances and personally meet with Giorgi Gakharia to explore whether we share common visions that would allow us to collaborate effectively. I reached out to him with a request to meet; unfortunately, a face-to-face meeting cannot happen today. I believe it would be disrespectful to meet with the President together unless we have a mutual commitment to work towards a European future.
At any moment, I am ready to engage with Giorgi Gakharia and then consult with the President. Once again, I want to thank the President for her perspective,” stated Mamuka Khazaradze.
On September 16, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili called on Mamuka Khazaradze and Giorgi Gakharia to unite their parties and invited them for consultations at the Orbeliani Palace.
