Strategy Aghmashenebeli pledges to complete ongoing projects together with Mikheil Saakashvili
Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party, pledged to complete all ongoing projects in 12-18 months together with Mikheil Saakashvili (jailed ex-president).
Presenting the employment program of the Victory Coalition, Vashadze said that amid the international sanctions imposed on Russia, Georgia had vast potential to launch new, strategically significant projects, including Anaklia and Lazika ports.
“The longer existing infrastructure projects are delayed, the more unlikely is the start of new projects. Twenty-one of the 23 infrastructurally strategic projects are unfinished, but the money has been spent. Where did it go? In 18 months, we will build the railway line, finish the roads, and at the same time, we will start new projects,” he said, adding construction of a Mercedes factory was considered at the occupation line.
Giorgi Vashadze stressed that many houses were neglected across Georgia because Georgian citizens chose to leave the country and seek employment in foreign countries to feed their families.
