State Inspector to present 2020 activity report to the Parliament

The Service of State Inspector of Georgia submitted the 2020 activity report to the Parliament. The 241-page document provides detailed information on the state of personal data protection in the country, control of secret investigative activities and activities carried out at the Central Data Identification Data Bank, and the criminal investigations’ status under the Office of the State Inspector and the further plans.

The Service of State Inspector of Georgia implemented three key functions in 2020 for the first time throughout the year. The agency reports it has spared no effort to perform all assigned functions effectively despite the coronavirus pandemic, limited human and infrastructural resources, and legal and practical difficulties.

The report individually presents the activities carried out by the service in all three directions.
