SSSG Chief: At agency level, our ideal relations, partnership with U.S. continue
Grigol Liluashvili, the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG), on Wednesday said, “At the agency level, our ideal relations and partnership with the U.S. continue.”
“It did not stop even for a moment, and we are planning new stages of interesting cooperation,” Liluashvili told journalists.
Asked about the U.S. visa restrictions, the SSSG Chief said, “Of course, this sad trend was repeated, as it before applied to the judges.”
“This is not the tone with which strategic partners and friendly countries should communicate; however, I hope that this political boiling point will subside and we will return to normal partnership relations, as well as continue our fruitful cooperation, including from a political standpoint, in the areas of security and defence,” he stated.
When asked whether he received any notification of the sanctions, Liluashvil answered that he did not.
