The spring session of the parliament of the 9th convocation will be opened today. Starting today, the parliament will continue its legislative activities in the parliament building in Tbilisi. This will be the first plenary sitting to be held in Tbilisi after 2012.
Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker will deliver a speech in the parliament today. Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, members of Cabinet of Ministers and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze will attend the speech. Kobakhidze will present the annual report of the parliament’s activities for 2018 as well as the future plan for 2019 during the plenary session.
Lawmakers will have to make several important decisions during the spring session. Among staff issues will be approval of Chairperson of Supreme Court of Georgia and election of judges for Supreme Court.
