Special Investigation Service launches probe into alleged excessive use of authority at Parliament Protest

The Special Investigation Service has initiated an investigation into the incidents of alleged excessive use of official authority against participants of the protest rally near the parliament on May 13, 2024. This investigation is conducted under the provisions of Article 333 (3b) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

“The Service is committed to addressing all instances of criminal behavior involving the abuse of official power.

We will keep the public informed about the developments and results of the investigation,” stated the Special Investigation Service.
