Georgia is proud of its effective democratic governance, the rule of law, which is getting stronger, an active political life, media freedom, economic dynamic, a favorable environment for investors and the low level of corruption, – Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili said in his speech at a special event dedicated to Georgia within the framework of the 54th Munich Security Conference.

The head of the Georgian government spoke not only about Georgia’s achievements on the European and Euro-Atlantic paths, but also about the natural European spirit of Georgians towards such different spheres as politics and culture.

The Prime Minister said that the effective implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement remains the main priority of the Government of Georgia.

According to the Prime Minister, benefits of Georgia’s close cooperation with the EU are doubtless.

“In March 2017, citizens of Georgia were granted a right to visa-free travel to the Schengen zone. This historic moment brought Georgia closer to Europe. Visa-free travel facilitates professional exchange between businessmen, scientists, students and artists. This means that Georgians have the opportunity to come to Europe and see the achievements of Europe, well-being, respect for the rule of law and the friendly environment “- said the Prime Minister.

Kvirikashvili  noted that Georgia appreciates its participation in the Frankfurt International Book Fair as an honorary guest, which is a unique opportunity for the presentation of Georgian culture not only in Germany but for the international auditorium.
