“The USAID knew about fake results of the Parallel Vote Tabulation (PVT) but concealed the fact from the Georgian people,” said Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.
According to the Speaker, he never received a response from USAID, which “we had been waiting for so long.”
Shalva Papuashvili slammed the allegations of opposition MP Teona Akubardia, who accused the Speaker of “having a leading role in the disinformation process” when speculating that the EU and USAID “motivated extremism in Georgia.”
“If you, as a member of the Parliament of Georgia, do not worry about it, then you have no sense of patriotism. It is a fact that fake parallel vote tabulation data was spread. It is a fact that USAID knew about it and was hiding it from the Georgian people,” he stated.
