I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the head of the Mother Church, His Holiness and Beatitude, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, for his unwavering commitment to the path laid by the esteemed forefathers of the Georgian Church. I also congratulate our clergy and representatives for their dedication,” Papuashvili wrote.
He extends his salutes to every Georgian citizen and true patriot, emphasizing that this occasion symbolizes the freedom of faith and serves as a cornerstone of the state independence of the homeland.
The Georgian Orthodox Church commemorates the Day of Autocephaly on March 24 and 25.
