Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, on Friday held a meeting with his Serbian counterpart, Vladimir Orlić.
The parties underlined the historical and cultural links between Georgia and Serbia. Papuashvili expressed his gratitude to Serbia for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and affirmed Georgia’s commitment to supporting Serbia’s territorial integrity, the Parliament’s press office has said.
“As noted, EU integration is a shared goal of Georgia and Serbia. The parties discussed the progress of the two countries on the EU integration path and underlined the importance of the enhancement of bilateral cooperation in view of facilitating the EU approximation of Georgia and Serbia,” reads the press statement.
