Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, met with Gareth Ward, the newly appointed Ambassador of Great Britain, to discuss the bilateral relations between Georgia and the United Kingdom.
According to the Parliament’s press service, Ambassador Ward reaffirmed his strong support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for the nation’s democratic and economic development.
During their discussions, the Speaker and the British Ambassador reviewed the current agenda of bilateral relations, as well as ongoing developments in Georgia, including the parliamentary elections scheduled for this October and plans for collaboration.
Shalva Papuashvili congratulated Gareth Ward on his new appointment and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure. Both parties expressed their commitment to fostering close cooperation moving forward.
