Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili met the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
According to the Parliament’s press service, the meeting addressed Georgia-Kazakhstan friendly relations.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev remarked that Kazakhstan views Georgia as a strategic partner. Kazakh people respect Georgians and the country’s history and culture, which is reflected in the increasing number of Kazakh tourists in Georgia.
The President of Kazakhstan congratulated the Georgian national football team on qualifying for the UEFA 2024 European Championships. He highlighted the Georgian Speaker’s first official visit to Kazakhstan and welcomed the parliamentary diplomacy role in bilateral relations.
The meeting also focused on the cooperation in trade, agriculture, culture, transport, energy, tourism and the potential of Middle Corridor development.
