The Speaker Shalva Papuashvili held a meeting with the OSCE Chair-in-Office, the Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta, Mr. Ian Borg.
According to the Parliament’s press office, The Speaker thanked Mr. Borg for the merit contributed by OSCE to the development of Georgia and expressed his commitment to closely cooperating with the OSCE institutions.
Mr. Borg stated that OSCE ‘strongly’ supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and the non-recognition policy of the territories occupied by Russia.
The parties discussed the Georgia-OSCE relations and touched upon the developments in the South Caucasus region, and the role of Georgia as a mediator between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
