Speaker meets Deputy President of the Senate of Malaysian Parliament
The Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili held a meeting with the Deputy President of the Senate of the Parliament of Malaysia, Hon. Senator Datuk Nur Jazlan bin Tan Sri Mohamed to deliberate on the Georgia-Malaysia cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, the Georgian Parliament reported.
As the Deputy President noted, Georgia has rapidly progressed and developed in the recent period. He underlined the advantageous geographical location of Georgia at the Asia-Europe junction.
The discourse included the aspects of parliamentary cooperation, as well as collaboration in the trade, economic, tourism and education spheres. At that, the parties gave a positive assessment of the granting of the status of the observer to Georgia in 2023 to the ASEAN AIPA and expressed their commitment to further cooperating within the hereof format.
The parties exchanged information about the administrative systems of the two countries, parliamentary activities and the electoral processes.
