Speaker: LGBT propaganda - watershed between patriotic forces, external influences
“The topic of LGBT propaganda is a watershed between the country’s patriotic political forces and those political associations that organize the agenda based on external instructions,” said the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.
The Speaker noted that “those political forces are being told from outside not to support the Law On Family Values and Protection of Minors”.
“They don’t even dare to come to the Parliament and say this publicly. They have pre-election meetings and know well that they will be asked why they support LGBT propaganda; why do they back that LGBT topics be included in teaching materials in schools and kindergartens? why same-sex marriage or civil partnership and other topics should be allowed, which this law is against,” Papuashvili added.
