Speaker: Heritage Foundation ranks Georgia in Top-20 in Europe for gov't integrity
The Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, wrote on social media that Georgia has improved its ranking in the 2024 Economic Freedom Index published by the Heritage Foundation.
According to Papuashvili, Georgia is now in the 38th place in terms of government integrity.
“This puts Georgia in the Top-20 of Europe, surpassing 11 EU members, 13 NATO members, and all EU candidate countries. In 2012, Georgia was in the 69th place, belonging to the zone of repressive rule.
This rating considers such factors as lack of bribery, extortion, nepotism, patronage and embezzlement”, Shalva Papuashvili wrote.
