Speaker expends congratulations on Victory Day, wishes peace to Georgia and world
“Congratulations on the day of victory over fascism! I especially congratulate the Georgian veterans of the Second World War, who with their struggle and dedication won the victory over the cruellest enemy of mankind,” the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, posted on his social network.
Papuashvili pointed out that the dedication of Georgian soldiers in the Second World War was immeasurable, as well as in many missions and military operations of the modern world.
“Georgia made great sacrifices to overcome evil. The dedication of Georgian soldiers in the Second World War is immeasurable, as well as in many missions and military operations of the modern world.
The world is still facing severe challenges. Russia’s aggression against Ukraine reminds humanity that war is always cruel and merciless, bringing misfortune.
That is why maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of our citizens is our primary mission.
We must never again allow the celebration of evil, the victory of death over life. On this day of humanity’s victory over fascism, I want to wish our country and the whole world peace and peace once again!” Papuashvili wrote.
