“We will see the final decision of the European Council, but the proposal of the presidency is just to follow the recommendation of the Commission,” said Pascual Ignacio Navarro Rios, Secretary of State for the European Union of Spain.
The Spanish State Secretary said ahead of the EU Foreign and European Affairs Ministerial in Brussels that the proposal on Georgia should comply with the European Commission’s recommendation.
“The proposal of the presidency for this Council’s conclusions on Georgia is to follow the recommendation of the Commission. I think that there is no difficulty in the Council for that. We will see the final decision of the European Council, but the proposal of the presidency is just to follow the recommendation of the Commission. I hope for the best for Georgia, of course,” he said.
