Spain reports 809 new coronavirus deaths

A total of 809 people have died due to the coronavirus in Spain in the last 24 hours, the country’s health officials said on Saturday, lower than the 932 reported on Friday.

The new total number of infections stands at 124,736, while the death toll with today’s figures is at 11,744.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez is currently in talks with opposition parties regarding a possible extension of the state of alarm in the country over the coronavirus pandemic.
