On April 8-11, the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Sophio Katsarava will pay  the working visit to USA to participate in the Global Parliamentary Conference in Washington organized by the World Bank and IMF.

Sophio Katsarava will hold the meetings with the representatives of the US Senate and Congress, as well as the executive authority and NGOs to discuss Georgia-USA close cooperation, reforms by Georgia for NATO integration, sovereignty and territorial integrity, cooperation between the legislative authorities and hybrid threats.

She will as well participate in the event backed by the Atlantic Council and organized by the Georgian Embassy dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Georgian Parliamentarism.

“Our bilateral relations are at the unprecedented high stage and Georgia plays the key role in US foreign and security policy which is evidenced with the facts and tangible outcomes. Our task is to at maximal extent take all the advantages and achieve the mutually beneficial outcomes. This process requires cooperation with the US legislative and executive authorities and my visit allows me to stress all the political and sectoral directions included into our agenda”, – she stated.
