I say it’s a geostrategic necessity and a good political moment that we build Europe stronger and bigger. That means that with Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova, we do significant steps towards the EU once the countries are ready, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, remarked at her doorstep interview ahead of the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels.
“I welcome the efforts of Georgia to continue that European path. And I also welcome the Commission’s progress reports for all three countries.
At the same time, I say Western Balkans, we shall not leave it behind. As I said, it’s a geostrategic necessity. We have a good opportunity by 2030 for the EU is internally prepared and also the countries that are negotiating to become members of the EU to prepare well themselves because my vision is EU getting bigger and stronger.
I cannot speculate what December will bring in the name of the EU Council, but as you see, I would wish to follow the recommendations of the European Commission,” Tanja Fajon stated
