Sisters fled from Saudi Arabia were transferred to the Migration Department
Sisters fled from Saudi Arabia were transferred to the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. Journalist of the First Channel of Georgia reports about it.
Maha and Vafa Al-Subaias will fill the official statement on their security in the Migration Department.
First Channel of Georgia managed to get an interview with the sisters. They say that they have left Saudi Arabia due to oppression and constant violations of their rights. Sisters say that Saudi Arabia has terminated their passports on the basis of their family members request.
They agreed to go through the relevant procedures for asylum seekers in Georgia, but they request to allow them to travel to the third country that does not have a visa-free regime with Saudi Arabia so that members of their families were not able to arrive there and make harm to them.
The sisters posted video address and their passports’ photos on social network “Twitter” and requested protection from the UN Refugee Agency. They say their father and brothers arrived from Saudi Arabia to Georgia to take them back.
